Russ
Jolly Partner/Chief Executive
Russ is the Chief Executive within the PixelPops organization and writer/producer/director on many PixelPops media projects. He's a 1984 graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Drama and his professional resume covers a long career in creative communications and the performing arts.
As
a video/multimedia director, producer, writer & editor, Russ is a Telly award-winning
artist who has helped hundreds of corporations successfully communicate
their message over the past decade. In his
professional theatre career, Russ acted on Broadway in two plays and at Equity regional
theatres across the country, and he directed several
new works Off-Broadway. As a writer, he had three plays produced in NYC and currently has two feature length screenplays and one short in development. And as a musician/drummer, he's had the opportunity to perform with Paul
McCartney, The Red Clay Ramblers and Little Richard among others. Throughout his creative career,
Russ has had the opportunity to work with winners
of the Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Grammy and the Pulitzer
Prize. In addition, he worked in the Client Presentations
department at Merrill Lynch's world headquarters on
Wall St. in New York City.
Russ was born in Shreveport, LA and raised in the
Dallas area as the son of a fifth generation Texan.
He made his first Super 8 film while in elementary
school and began playing the drums at the age of
10.
After many years based in New York City, his interest
in multimedia brought him back to Texas
to pursue video production and interactive media opportunities.
He and his wife, Deborah, live in the ‘burbs
of Richardson'.
Russ specializes in helping his clients understand what they need to say and how best to communicate it. As an experienced communications consultant, he enjoys helping companies focus their message for maximum results. He's also lectured nationally on corporate video production and web marketing strategies and wrote a monthly column on producing business media titled "Executive Decisions" for EventDV Magazine.
